You're Invited!
Please join me on Saturday, June 14 at 6pm for the celebration of my debut book’s tender entrance into this chaotic world. There will be food, drinks, a dorky writer dodging limelights, live music, bookmarks, and books for sale. All proceeds will go to Prevention Point Pittsburgh. Come for the free bookmarks, stay for the good music, and check out how this amazing local organization cares for our community. Oh, also, they’re hosting! Big gratitude to Prevention Point, not only for letting me loiter as a volunteer for many years now, but for helping me send my book into the world. THE DEETS:
FAQ
Am I truly madly deeply invited? YES. If I could invite every human who’s ever helped shape me, I would. That means you. Please consider this a personal invitation (and ignore its digital delivery).
When and where can I buy a copy of Achy Affects? The book goes on sale on Tuesday, June 10. You can buy direct from the University of Pittsburgh Press anytime. Pre-sales are open! I’ll also sell steeply-discounted copies at the release party while supplies last.
What time should I get to the release party? If you want to nosh, then 5:30. I will start reading around 6. Then Uncle Daddy, Pittsburgh’s premiere all-lezzy rock band, will go on around 7.
Should I RSVP: For the sake of numbers, it would really help me to know how many are coming. Please shoot me a quick text, email, or DM.
So, wait, where is it? The party is being held in the Prevention Point Pittsburgh office. Address is 460 Melwood Ave. There’s plenty of street parking. Head to the back of the building to enter. There will be signs.
Can I bring my kids? Yes! Please bring your fam. We’ll provide some coloring books and juice boxes.
Is this a fancy party? Heck nah.
How hard can I party at the party? Go wild. But a heads up there will not be any alcohol. Prevention Point, much like my own lil bod, is a sober space.
In that case, will there be an after party? Heck yah! Details to come.
